3. Quotes and Pricing

We provide free, no-obligation in-home consultations and quotes. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise specified.

3.2 Pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise noted. Final pricing may vary based on:

  • Product selection and customization
  • Additional services requested
  • Unforeseen complications discovered during installation

Any price changes will be communicated and approved before proceeding with work.

3.3 Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement. Typically, a deposit is required to begin work, with the balance due upon completion. We accept various payment methods including cash, check, credit card, and financing options.

4. Scheduling and Installation

4.1 Scheduling

Installation dates are scheduled upon order confirmation and product availability. We will provide you with an estimated timeframe and notify you of the installation date. We make every effort to meet scheduled dates but are not liable for delays caused by weather, product availability, or other circumstances beyond our control.

4.2 Site Access

You must provide clear access to the installation areas and ensure pets and obstacles are removed. You are responsible for protecting interior furnishings and belongings. While we take care to minimize disruption, we are not responsible for incidental damage to landscaping or minor cosmetic issues.

4.3 Permits and Approvals

If required, obtaining necessary building permits and homeowner association approvals is the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing. We can assist with permit applications as an additional service.

5. Warranties

5.1 Product Warranties

All windows and doors come with manufacturer warranties covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product. We will provide you with complete warranty documentation at the time of installation.

5.2 Installation Warranty

We warrant our installation workmanship for a period specified in your service agreement (typically 1-2 years). This warranty covers defects in installation but does not cover damage caused by improper use, normal wear and tear, acts of nature, or modifications made by others.

5.3 Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, contact us with details of the issue. We will assess the claim and determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion. Warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

6.1 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your order subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellations before products are ordered: Full refund of deposit minus administrative fee
  • Cancellations after products are ordered: Deposit may be non-refundable; custom products are not returnable
  • Cancellations after installation begins: No refund

6.2 Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.

7. Liability and Indemnification

7.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Best Windows shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services in question.

7.2 Insurance

We maintain appropriate liability insurance. However, you are encouraged to verify that your homeowner's insurance covers renovation work.

7.3 Customer Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Best Windows harmless from any claims arising from your failure to maintain the property in a safe condition or to disclose known hazards.
